Why is Netflix not included in Google TV?

Netflix is not included in Google TV due to a business decision made by both companies. While Google TV aims to provide a wide range of streaming services, including popular platforms like YouTube and Amazon Prime Video, the absence of Netflix may be attributed to negotiations between Google and Netflix regarding licensing agreements, revenue sharing, or technical compatibility. It is important to note that the availability of streaming services on Google TV can vary based on partnerships and agreements between Google and different content providers.

Not every major streaming service allows its content to be included in Google TV's rows of aggregated recs: Netflix is the big holdout. The company bowed out of Google TV integration very shortly after the release of the 2020 Chromecast, and Google has been unable to bring Netflix back into the fold ever since.
